Vice President
Jesse Bender, FS Director, Tomah Area

Hola, I am Jesse Bender the Director of Foodservice for the Tomah School District. I have worked in the food service industry for 18 years and I am happy to say, 11 of those have been in school food service. I have been privileged to work in restaurants, military foodservice, and in hospitals to give me a variety of food service experiences. I served four years in the United States Marine Corps before moving on to earn my Associates Degree in Culinary Management from Western Wisconsin Technical College and a Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Business and Nutrition from Viterbo University. I am currently a Certified Dietary Manager and Food Protection Professional, and previously was a Servsafe Instructor for Western Technical College.  My hobbies are spending time with my amazing wife, Elizabeth, and my entertaining children, Addilyn and Milo; I also try to spend as much time laughing as a can.  My ultimate goal in life is to influence enough people that they might someday change the world for the better.

Chapter President Representitive
Sarah Mumm, Nutrition Team Leader, Holmen

Twenty years ago I would have never guessed I would be here, running for SNA WI Chapter President Representative. In May of 1997 I graduated from WTC with an associate’s degree in Marketing Management. I then made the decision to stay home and raise my five children and 14 years later I was ready to go back to work. In May of 2011 I was hired by Holmen School District at Sand Lake Elementary School and loved the job! I worked at Sand Lake Elementary for 2 1⁄2 years as a cook. After this position, I spent two years working at Holmen Middle School loving every minute of it. Then the opportunity presented itself to work at Holmen High School and I am currently nishing my rst year as Nutrition Team Leader at Holmen High School.

I was introduced to SNA about 3 years ago. I attended my first chapter meeting in December of 2014. The following summer I attended my first State Conference and met some lovely ladies from my Chapter. I learned that our current Chapter President had retired and we had no body to take that position. I have now been our chapter president since the 2015/16 school year. I have learned a lot about SNA and the opportunities it has to offer. I am excited for this opportunity to be your Chapter President Representative. There is so much we can learn from each other. Thank you so much!
